D. GARRY MUNSON, President, Principal and Co-Founder of Whitney Capital Company, L.L.C., oversees the company's real estate development and acquisition activity, as well as asset management and property management supervision. Whitney Capital Company, L.L.C., founded in 1996, specializes in the development, acquisition and financing of apartment properties, including affordable multi-family housing.

In 1978, Mr. Munson founded Whitney Management Corp an affiliated apartment management company based in Houston and currently serves as Chairman and a principal.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Munson was President and a principal of Related Residential Company from 1991 to 1995 and previously served as Executive Vice President and Director of Acquisitions as well as a shareholder of New York City based Related Capital Company from 1985 to 1991. Mr. Munson currently holds an interest in 30 multi-family properties totaling 3,046 units, with a total market value of over $400 million, as well as 2 commercial properties with a market value totaling over $12 million.

Prior to founding Whitney Management Corp., Mr. Munson was the director of Community Development and Housing Finance for the Savings Bank Association of the State of New York, was employed in Philadelphia by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, served as Director of Development for the Philadelphia Housing Authority and was the Executive Director of the non-profit Niagara Frontier Housing Development Corporation in Buffalo, New York.

Mr. Munson graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree and from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Graduate School with a Masters degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Munson is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association and serves on the National Council of Coaches Vs. Cancer, a joint venture between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
